Paris-Nice : Route 2014

05.02.2014
Paris Nice 2014 - parcours

The route of the first stages of this years race have been released, and on the menu for 2014 : 8 stages in line. There will be no time trial in this edition. Since 2010 the start will take place in the Yvelines on March 9th, with a mountainous portion in Mantes-la-Jolie, with the finale on the Eze hill giving a remarkable panorama accross the French Riviera which will be one of the last difficulties of the “course au soleil”.
Meanwhile racing cyclists will have two days of sprinting ahead of them between Rambouillet and l’Yonne and a finish on the race circuit of Nevers Magny-Cours.
Immediately after comes the difficult rise of the Mont Brouilly followed by an unstable curve through the Monts du Forez before rediscovering the familiar lands of Haut-Var far inland near Nice. The finish in Fayence will occur on the summit of a steep, craggy road. Finally, the stage Mougins > Biot Sophia-Antipolis will remind us of the 2011finish before Nice-Nice, rolling and without any break.
