LE COQ SPORTIF, NEW SUPPLIER TO FRENCH TENNIS STAR RICHARD GASQUET

Le coq sportif announced today its partnership with France's number 1 tennis player, Richard Gasquet. The French company will supply Gasquet's clothing starting on 1st January, 2014, with the tennis star wearing his new le coq sportif outfits at the first tournament of the season in Doha.

Following the French label's return to one of the world's major sports events in 2012 as partner and official supplier of jerseys for the leaders of the Tour de France, this new collaboration with tennis, a sport which is just as symbolic for le coq sportif, has allowed the company to strengthen its position as an internationally ranked supplier.

Le coq sportif's performance ranges have been developed from the perfect mastery of the company's expertise. Envisioned and designed in the company's Paris offices, Richard Gasquet's outfits are made in France at le coq sportif's workshop in Romilly-sur-Seine. The fabric's construction means that sweat is absorbed and wicked towards the outside of the garment. This helps maintain a constant body temperature and prevents the fabric from sticking during physical activity, making it very comfortable to wear. A thin border in blue, white and red is a stylish nod to Richard Gasquet's ranking as number 1 in France.

I am very honoured to wear the colours of le coq sportif. It is the mythical French brand which is present in The Tour de France and also on legendary soccer jerseys. The brand reminds me of Yannick and Roland Garros 1983. I will try to be up to it!
