The suspense, twists and turns featured right until the end in this edition of the Dauphiné, with the victory of Andrew Talansky on the line in the last stage between Megeve and Courchevel. Surprised by the attack of the American were the two favourites, Christopher Froome, weakened by an injury which occurred in stage 6, and Alberto Contador, isolated within a team lacking skills, weren’t able to resist and finished respectively 12th and 2nd overall.
